TURN Gallery is pleased to present An Hoang in When a Cloud Leaves the Sky, opening Saturday, March 12th. This marks her second solo exhibition at the gallery.

In this new body of work, An Hoang continues her investigations through capturing fleeting moments in nature, while introducing a recently developed palette that is bright and vibrant. Stemming from Hoang’s personal experiences and memories, the abstractions encapsulate the artist’s reflections on her surrounding landscapes.

Billowing forms move the eye across the canvas, unveiling a more prominent role of gesture and drawn marks. In When a Cloud Leaves the Sky, the vivid undulating paintings celebrate the hope and possibility that comes from the transitions of the seasons.

An Hoang was born in Washington D.C. and lives in the Lower Hudson Valley, NY. Recent exhibitions include Halsey McKay Gallery, East Hampton, NY; Tracey Morgan Gallery, Asheville, NC; Able Baker Contemporary, Portland, ME; Leftfield Gallery, Los Osos, CA; TURN Gallery, NY, NY; Livingstone Gallery, The Netherlands.

When a Cloud Leaves the Sky will open Saturday, March 12th from 4 - 7 pm, along with our solo exhibition by Eve Ackroyd in the Parlour Room. Both shows will be on view until April 23rd. We are located on the 2nd floor of 32 East 68th Street NY, NY 10065. The gallery is open Wednesday - Saturday 12 - 6 pm. Masks are required in the gallery and its corridors.
